Counselling in Coventry & Online

A safe space to talk, heal, and rediscover yourself.

Life can feel overwhelming at times. You might be carrying old wounds, facing a big life transition, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of your next step. Counselling offers a supportive, confidential space where you can explore what’s going on and find clarity.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationships, grief, or self-esteem, counselling can help you make sense of your experiences and move forward with greater ease.

Why Choose Counselling?

  • Counselling is a talking therapy that gives you time and space to explore your thoughts and feelings with someone who listens without judgement.

It’s not about being told what to do. Instead, it’s about working together to:

    • Understand yourself and your patterns

    • Release emotional pain

    • Build healthier coping strategies

    • Discover new perspectives and choices

  • Counselling can support you with:

    • Anxiety, stress, or panic

    • Depression and low mood

    • Relationship difficulties

    • Grief and loss

    • Childhood experiences that still affect you

    • Low self-esteem or self-doubt

    • Burnout or life transitions (e.g., career change, parenthood, separation)

    • Feeling lost, stuck, or lacking direction

  • Sessions usually last 90 minutes and take place either in-person in Coventry or online via secure video call.

In counselling, there’s no “right” or “wrong” thing to talk about — we’ll go at your pace. Some clients prefer to focus on a specific problem, while others use the space for open reflection.

I may draw on different approaches, including person-centred therapy, trauma-informed work, and NLP, depending on what feels most helpful for you.

  • Case Story 1 – Work Stress & Relationships

Mark (not their real name) came to counselling feeling overwhelmed by stress at work and ongoing conflict at home. In our sessions, he explored the roots of his stress and learned strategies to manage his emotions more effectively. Over time, he reported feeling calmer, more confident, and better able to communicate with his partner.

    Case Story 2 – Grief & Loss

Anna (not their real name) was struggling after the loss of a close family member. She felt stuck between sadness and guilt, unable to move forward. Counselling gave her a safe space to process her grief, make sense of her emotions, and find ways to remember her loved one without being consumed by pain. She described feeling lighter and more at peace after our work together.

    Case Story 3 – Low Self-Esteem

David (not their real name) came to counselling feeling ‘not good enough’ in every area of his life. Together, we explored the early experiences that shaped these beliefs and worked on building self-compassion and confidence. Over time, David began to challenge negative self-talk, set healthier boundaries, and step into new opportunities with greater self-assurance.

  • How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people find a few sessions enough to gain clarity, while others choose longer-term support.

    Is counselling confidential?
Yes. What you share is private, with only a few exceptions around safety (which I’ll explain clearly at the start).

I find it hard to open up — will counselling work for me?
Absolutely. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll never push you to share more than you feel comfortable with.

  • Many clients tell me they feel truly seen, heard, and understood in our sessions. My role is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

I believe you already carry the capacity for healing and growth — counselling is not about “fixing” you, because you’re not broken. It’s about offering the tools, perspective, and support that help you reconnect with your own resilience and wisdom.

Counselling may be especially helpful if you:

    • Feel weighed down by worries, stress, or emotions you can’t shift

    • Want to process something from the past that still affects you

    • Need support navigating a change, loss, or transition

    • Long for greater clarity, direction, or peace of mind

I offer a free consultation so you can ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
